Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These terms apply to every patient treated at Wimpole Street Medical & Dental, 22 Wimpole Street, London W1G 8GQ, and to anyone booking with us for that location from 1 October 2026.
We provide private dental and medical care to the standards expected by the General Dental Council (GDC), the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
1. Services
- Dental: examinations, hygiene, emergency care, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, implants and clear aligners
- Medical: self-referral private blood tests, sexual health testing, health screening and allergy testing. Samples are taken by a nurse or phlebotomist and analysed by a UKAS-accredited partner laboratory; the laboratory report is delivered to you via secure portal. We do not provide clinical interpretation of results — a result is not a diagnosis and the service is not a substitute for medical advice
Care is delivered only by professionals registered with the GDC (dentists, hygienists, therapists) or NMC (nurses).
2. Registration and eligibility
- Information you give us at registration must be accurate and kept up to date
- Tell us about changes to your health, medicines or contact details
- Patients under 18 must attend with a parent or legal guardian
- We may decline to register or treat where it is clinically appropriate to do so
3. Appointments
Booking
- Book online, by phone or in person; confirmations and reminders are sent by email or SMS
- Arriving late may mean a shorter appointment or, where necessary, rebooking
- Before 1 October 2026, appointments are available at our South Kensington and City of London clinics only
Cancellations
Please give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or move an appointment.
- Cancellations inside 48 hours may attract a fee
- Missed appointments without notice may be charged at 50% of the appointment fee
- Repeated non-attendance may require pre-payment for future bookings
4. Fees and payment
- Our fees are published on this website and are the same at every Medical & Dental clinic
- Payment is due on the day unless we have agreed otherwise in writing
- We accept debit and credit cards, bank transfer and cash
- Where laboratory work is involved, payment is taken before it is commissioned
- Fees may change with reasonable notice
Any treatment beyond an examination is preceded by a written plan with costs, and nothing is charged without your informed consent.
5. Consent
- You will have the proposed treatment, alternatives, risks and costs explained before anything begins
- Some procedures require written consent
- You can decline or withdraw consent at any time
- For children, consent is given by a parent or legal guardian
6. Your responsibilities
- Give a full and honest medical and dental history
- Disclose medicines, allergies and existing conditions
- Follow the aftercare advice you are given
- Attend appointments or cancel with adequate notice
- Treat our team with courtesy
7. Clinical standards and regulation
- Care Quality Commission (CQC): registration in progress for our Wimpole Street location
- General Dental Council (GDC): all dental professionals are GDC registered
- Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC): all nurses are NMC registered
We keep full clinical records, follow infection-control protocols and work within professional guidelines.
8. Insurance
- We can provide receipts and reports for insurance claims
- Understanding your policy cover is your responsibility
- Payment is due regardless of the outcome of a claim
- We cannot promise that an insurer will cover a given treatment
9. Complaints
Our complaints procedure explains how to raise a concern and how to escalate to the Dental Complaints Service, GDC, NMC or CQC.
10. Liability
Healthcare outcomes cannot be promised. Our liability is limited to the extent the law allows, and we are not responsible for outcomes arising from matters beyond our reasonable control or from advice not followed.
11. Website and online booking
- Website content is general information, not individual medical advice
- It does not replace a consultation with a clinician
- Online bookings are subject to availability and confirmation
12. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continued use of our services indicates acceptance.
13. Governing law
