Wimpole Street sits in the middle of Marylebone's medical quarter, a few doors from Harley Street. From 1 October 2026 the ground floor will house a nurse-led testing service: 1,106 blood tests, 91 sexual health tests, 19 screening packages and 20 allergy tests, all self-referral with no GP referral needed, and priced before you book. Medical services are for patients aged 16 and over.
Before we open
Medical testing at Wimpole Street begins on 1 October 2026. The identical catalogue is available now at South Kensington (seven days) and St Paul’s (weekdays).
Single markers, themed profiles and four bundled packages. Individual tests from £29 plus one £50 sample fee per visit.
OpenStrictly confidential testing for single infections or combined screens, from £46. Urine, swab and blood samples; results typically from 24 hours.
OpenNurse-led full-body checks and targeted risk screens from £199, each ending in a laboratory report to your secure portal.
OpenIgE blood testing for foods, pollens, pets, insects and latex, from a single allergen to a 300-allergen panel.
OpenTesting appointments are short and structured. Most patients are in the building for under twenty minutes; screening packages take around forty.
Pick the test, profile or screen from the catalogue. The price, sample type and turnaround are shown before you confirm. A deposit holds the slot.
Bring photo ID for a first visit. If your test needs fasting you will have been told at booking. Reception is on the ground floor, six minutes from Bond Street station.
A venous sample takes a few minutes; urine and swab samples are self-collected in a private room with instructions. Samples leave for the laboratory the same afternoon.
Results arrive in your secure portal as the laboratory report, showing each value against its reference range with anything outside it flagged. Discuss the report with your GP or a clinician.
This is a self-referral service: you choose the test and book directly. A nurse or phlebotomist takes the sample, a UKAS-accredited partner laboratory analyses it, and the laboratory report is delivered to your secure portal with reference ranges and any flagged values. We do not provide clinical interpretation of results — please discuss your report with your GP or a clinician, particularly if a value is flagged or you have symptoms. If you feel unwell, contact your GP or NHS 111; in an emergency call 999.
The service is led by Precious Agbonmamwen, Registered Adult Nurse (NMC 20H1641E), who oversees sample-taking standards, infection control and the patient pathway from booking to laboratory report.
Registration of the Wimpole Street site with the Care Quality Commission is in progress ahead of opening. Our South Kensington and St Paul's clinics are CQC registered.
