Precious is the Nurse Lead for the medical testing service at 22 Wimpole Street. The service is self-referral and nurse-led: you choose the test, book directly, and a nurse takes the sample. Her background is in Biomedical Science and Adult Nursing, with experience in surgical nursing, pre-assessment, phlebotomy and running a sexual health testing clinic, which is the combination the Marylebone service is built around.

Day to day she oversees sample-taking standards, infection control and the patient pathway from booking through to the laboratory report landing in your secure portal. That covers checking identity and preparation before a draw, labelling and dispatching samples correctly, and making sure the nursing team works to the same written procedures on every visit.

There is no doctor at Wimpole Street and the nursing team does not provide clinical interpretation of results. What you receive is the laboratory report with reference ranges and any flagged values; Precious and her colleagues can explain what a test measures and how the process works, and will point you to your GP or a clinician to discuss what the numbers mean for you.
