A first look

Inside the new Marylebone clinic

A short walk through what we are building at number 22: the surgeries, the consulting room for medical testing, and the thinking behind why we chose this street.

Filmed August 2026, during the fit-out.

Why here

Why Wimpole Street

Marylebone has been London's medical quarter for well over a century. We wanted a clinic that belongs to that tradition without inheriting its formality.

In the medical quarter, off the main road

Wimpole Street runs parallel to Harley Street: same Georgian terraces, less traffic. You are minutes from Oxford Street yet the street itself is quiet.

Evenings and Saturdays

Tuesday and Thursday run until 8pm and we open Saturdays from 10am. Fridays start at 8am for pre-work blood tests.

One team, three addresses

Your records, your dentist and your price list follow you between Marylebone, South Kensington and the City. Nothing is re-quoted because you changed postcode.

Medical testing, no GP referral needed

Choose your blood, STI, screening or allergy test and book directly. A nurse takes the sample, a UKAS-accredited laboratory analyses it, and the report reaches your secure portal with reference ranges to discuss with your GP or a clinician.

Until we open

Need an appointment before 1 October 2026?

The same clinical team already works from two other Medical & Dental clinics. Book at either one now and, if you prefer, move your ongoing care to Wimpole Street once the doors open.

The clinicians

Sixteen clinicians, one standard

Dentists, hygienists, an implant surgeon and two nurses. Most already work with our patients in South Kensington and the City; two join us specifically for Marylebone.

Questions about the new clinic

When does the Wimpole Street clinic open?+

We open to patients on Thursday 1 October 2026. Until then the address is being fitted out and is not seeing patients. The other two Medical & Dental clinics, in South Kensington and at St Paul’s in the City, are open as normal.

Can I book an appointment at Wimpole Street before it opens?+

Online booking for Marylebone goes live a few weeks before opening. In the meantime the booking button on this page will offer you the choice of our South Kensington or St Paul’s clinics, or you can email wimpolestreet@md.co.uk and we will contact you when the Wimpole Street diary is released.

How do I get to 22 Wimpole Street, and is there parking?+

Bond Street station is roughly six minutes on foot, Oxford Circus about seven and Regent’s Park about nine. Several bus routes stop on Oxford Street and Marylebone Road. Parking on Wimpole Street itself is metered and limited; the nearest public car parks are on Cavendish Square and Harley Street.

Which services will be available at the Marylebone clinic?+

Dental care including examinations, hygiene, emergency appointments, cosmetic treatment, whitening, implants and clear aligners, plus self-referral medical testing with no GP referral needed: private blood tests, STI screening, structured health checks and allergy testing, with the laboratory report delivered to your secure portal.

Who are the clinicians at Wimpole Street?+

The same dentists, hygienists and nurses who work across our South Kensington and City clinics, joined by two clinicians recruited specifically for Marylebone. Every clinician is registered with the GDC or NMC, and profiles are on the team page. Medical testing is self-referral and nurse-led; there is no doctor at Wimpole Street.

Do you accept dental or health insurance?+

Arrangements vary by insurer and by treatment, so please contact us at wimpolestreet@md.co.uk with the name of your policy and we will confirm what paperwork we can provide before you book.

Is there a minimum age for medical services?+

Yes. Blood tests, sexual health testing, health screening and allergy testing at Wimpole Street are for patients aged 16 and over. We do not provide medical services to under-16s; please speak to your NHS GP or call NHS 111. A test result is not a diagnosis and this service is not a substitute for medical advice. Dental care is available to children when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
