Dr Niknaz Rostam Yazdi, known to patients and colleagues as Nikki, graduated in dentistry from Queen Mary University of London. She joins Wimpole Street as a general dentist and will be one of the first clinicians patients meet when the Marylebone clinic opens on 1 October 2026.

Her day-to-day work covers the full range of general dentistry: examinations, fillings, extractions and restorative treatment, along with professional teeth whitening. She is comfortable with patients who arrive with a long list of things they have been putting off, and she prefers to agree a sensible order of work rather than tackle everything at once.

Two areas stand out. The first is children’s dentistry. Nikki is keen on making a child’s early visits positive and unremarkable, on the basis that the habits and attitudes formed then tend to last. Families in Marylebone looking for a dentist who will see parents and children in the same session will find her a natural fit. The second is anxious adults. She sets aside time at the start of an appointment to understand what has made someone wary of the dentist, and then adjusts pace, explanation and technique to suit.

Colleagues describe her as an unusually clear communicator. She avoids jargon, explains why she is recommending something and what happens if you choose not to, and she is content for a patient to go away and think about it. Her aim is that every person leaves knowing exactly what was done and what comes next.

Outside the surgery Nikki does Pilates, walks long distances and spends time with friends and family. At Wimpole Street she will be available across the week, including the Tuesday and Thursday evening sessions.
