After-hours dentist at Wimpole Street, W1
From 1 October 2026, 22 Wimpole Street will run two late evenings a week, with the final appointment finishing at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus Saturday sessions from 10am to 4pm. These are ordinary appointments held at times that fit around work, not a night-time emergency line. Until we open, and on Sundays, the same dentists see patients at South Kensington, which is open every day.

What the late sessions are for
Two kinds of patient use the 6–8pm slots: people with a routine appointment who cannot leave work, and people whose toothache started at lunchtime.
Same-week urgent problems
Toothache, a lost filling or crown, a chipped tooth or a swelling that is uncomfortable but not affecting breathing. Phone and the team will find the earliest slot, evening included.

Out-of-hours questions
No. The latest appointment finishes at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the clinic closes at 4pm on Saturdays. Outside those hours there is no clinician on site. For care overnight, use the NHS 111 service, which can direct you to an urgent dental centre.
From 1 October 2026, the day the clinic opens. Until then the same dentists offer late and weekend slots at our South Kensington clinic, which is open every day of the week.
Anything a daytime slot can: examinations, hygiene, fillings, crown preparations, root canal stages and urgent assessments for pain or swelling. The evening list is the ordinary list run later, not a reduced service.
No. The fee list is the same at every time of the week. An urgent assessment is £95 and any treatment carried out is charged from the standard list.
Wimpole Street will be closed on Sundays. South Kensington (20 Old Brompton Road, SW7) is open on Sundays and takes urgent cases; call 020 7183 2362.
If facial swelling is spreading towards the eye or neck, if swallowing or breathing feels restricted, if bleeding will not stop after twenty minutes of firm pressure, or after a head injury with a knocked-out tooth. Those are hospital situations: call 999 or go to your nearest emergency department.
