How far the teeth must move
Tier is decided by the number of aligners the simulation needs. A single rotated incisor or a small gap sits in Easy Align; crowding across a whole arch or a bite correction moves into Smart or Ultimate.
Aligner pricing in London is confusing because so much of it is quoted "from" a figure that few patients actually pay. At Wimpole Street the fee is set by which of three tiers your case falls into, decided at the scan and fixed in writing before the first tray is made: Easy Align at £2,000 for minor movement, Smart Align at £4,000 for moderate cases and Ultimate Align at £5,980 for complex, long-running corrections. Each tier bundles the aligners, fitting, reviews and refinements for a set period, and the upper two include retainers. Below is the full list, the variables that decide the tier, the items that sit outside it and how monthly payments would work.
£2,000 – £5,980
Fixed by tier after a complimentary scan. Retainers are included with Smart and Ultimate; a fixed retainer is £450 per arch if chosen separately.

Tier is decided by the number of aligners the simulation needs. A single rotated incisor or a small gap sits in Easy Align; crowding across a whole arch or a bite correction moves into Smart or Ultimate.
Many patients only want the upper front teeth changed, but the lower arch often has to move as well so the bite still meets. The scan shows whether one arch alone is realistic.
Easy Align covers refinements for two years, the upper tiers for five. A longer window matters for complex cases where teeth are more likely to need a second push.
Two sets of removable retainers are built into Smart and Ultimate. Easy Align patients add retainers separately, either removable or a £450 fixed wire per arch.
Gum disease, decay or a tooth needing a crown must be dealt with first and is priced on its own. Moving teeth in an unhealthy mouth is not something we will do.
If you are new to Medical & Dental, a £30 examination is the only addition to the plan fee. Existing patients pay nothing beyond the tier.
Aligner fees can be spread. Interest-free instalments over up to twelve months are available on eligible plans, subject to status: Easy Align would be about £167 a month, Smart Align about £333 and Ultimate Align just under £500. Longer terms with interest can be arranged on request.
Where finance is not used, the tier fee is usually split between the fitting appointment and the midpoint of treatment; the exact schedule is written into your plan.
Finance is subject to status and terms apply. Medical and Dental Limited is a credit broker, not a lender. Monthly figures are illustrations; your own terms are confirmed in writing before you sign.
Across London, clear aligner treatment with the major brands generally runs from about £2,500 for a short course to £6,000 or more for comprehensive cases, and fixed braces tend to fall between £2,500 and £5,000. Very low headline figures often cover only one arch, a limited number of trays, or exclude retainers and refinements, so the total ends up higher than the advert.
Our tiers are the same at all three Medical & Dental clinics and are set lower than branded systems chiefly because no licence fee is paid per case. The dentist who scans you plans the movement and sees you at each review, which is the part of the fee that matters most for the result.
