Veneers cost in London: composite and porcelain fees explained
Two numbers matter when you ask what veneers cost: the per-tooth fee for the material you choose, and the number of teeth that show when you smile. At Wimpole Street a composite veneer is from £595 and a porcelain veneer from £1,095, so a six-tooth plan runs from £3,570 in resin to £6,570 in ceramic, with eight teeth from £4,760 or £8,760. Those figures include the design work, temporaries where relevant, laboratory fees for porcelain and the fitting and review visits. Variables
What changes the price
Number of teeth
The teeth that show in a broad smile set the count: often six, sometimes eight or ten. Treating fewer than show leaves untreated teeth looking darker beside the new ones.
Complexity of the design
Changing shade alone is simpler than changing shade, length and outline together. Cases that need gum contouring or a bite adjustment beforehand carry those fees in addition.
Type of ceramic
Hand-layered feldspathic porcelain and pressed lithium disilicate are priced the same here, but the technician’s time on very characterised or minimal-prep veneers can push an individual case upwards.
Whitening first
Most veneer plans begin with whitening at £399 so the veneers can be matched to the lighter shade. It is a separate fee.
Protecting the result
A night guard from £185 is advised for anyone who clenches. It is optional in principle but, for porcelain, it is the cheapest insurance you can buy.

- The new patient examination at £30 (usual fee £95) and radiographs from £20.
- Whitening before veneers, £399.
- A night guard, from £185.
- Gum contouring or orthodontic alignment where the plan needs them; quoted separately.
- Root canal treatment if a tooth becomes symptomatic after preparation, which is uncommon.
- Replacement of veneers at the end of their life or after trauma.
Paying
Spreading the cost
Veneer plans are among the larger fees in cosmetic dentistry and many patients spread them. Interest-free instalments over up to twelve months are available for plans above a minimum value, subject to status. To illustrate, six porcelain veneers at £6,570 over twelve months would be £547.50 a month with nothing added; six composite veneers at £3,570 would be £297.50 a month.
The fee for porcelain is payable in two stages in any case: part at preparation and the balance at fitting. Composite is paid on the day of treatment. Whitening, the examination and any night guard are settled as they happen.

How we compare
Porcelain veneers in London are widely quoted at anywhere from £700 to £1,500 per tooth, and composite veneers from £300 to £700. Practices on and around the W1 medical streets tend to sit in the upper part of both ranges, and some quote per-arch packages that are hard to compare directly.
At £1,095 for porcelain and £595 for composite, our fees fall within the middle of the London spread and are the same at all three Medical & Dental clinics. Where we would ask you to look closely is at what is bundled: whether the trial smile is credited, whether temporaries and the review are included, and whether the quote is per tooth or for a package that may include teeth you do not need treated.

Questions about cost
Composite, on the fewest teeth that solve the problem, after whitening. Sometimes that turns out to be two teeth and a course of whitening rather than six veneers. The smile design visit exists to work that out before money is spent.
A technician builds each veneer by hand or mills and finishes it, there is a second clinical visit, and temporaries are made in between. The material also lasts far longer, which is why cost per year of wear is often similar to composite.
It is paid at the design visit and deducted from the veneer fee if you proceed. If you decide against treatment, it is not refunded because the work has been done.
