Smile makeover cost in London: how the total is built
There is no single smile makeover price because there is no single smile makeover. The fee is the sum of the treatments in your plan, each charged at its normal rate, with no surcharge for combining them. That means the honest answer to what a makeover costs at Wimpole Street runs from roughly £600, for whitening plus a little edge bonding, to well beyond £8,000 where eight or ten porcelain veneers follow alignment. What changes the price
How many teeth
Six upper teeth is the common count; broad smiles need eight or ten. Lower teeth are treated less often but add proportionally when they are.
Alignment first
Moving teeth with aligners before veneers usually means fewer or thinner veneers later, but adds the orthodontic fee and several months.
Gum work
Uneven gum levels or a gummy smile may need contouring before edges are lengthened. This is a separate procedure with its own fee.
Foundations
Decay, failing fillings or gum inflammation are treated before anything cosmetic. Those fees are part of the plan and can be significant if the mouth has been neglected.
Protection
A night guard from £185 is advised for anyone who grinds. Small in the context of a makeover, and it protects the whole investment.

- Orthodontic or gum treatment fees, which are quoted individually because they vary so widely.
- Top-up whitening gel in later years, from £30 a syringe.
- Renewal of composite after five to seven years and of porcelain after ten to fifteen or more.
- Repairs after trauma or from biting hard objects.
Paying
Spreading the cost
Because a makeover is delivered in stages, payment is staged too: whitening when the trays are fitted, bonding or composite on the day, porcelain half at preparation and half at fitting. Many patients simply pay as they go.
For larger totals, interest-free instalments over up to twelve months are available for eligible plans, subject to status. As an illustration, a porcelain-tier plan at £4,250 spread over twelve months would be about £354 a month. Longer terms with interest may be offered for higher totals.

How we compare
London makeover quotes are difficult to compare because they bundle different things. A package advertised at a few thousand pounds may be composite on six teeth; another at five figures may include orthodontics, gum work and ten porcelain veneers. Per-tooth fees in central London typically run £300 to £700 for composite and £700 to £1,500 for porcelain, and the makeover total is essentially those numbers multiplied by tooth count plus whitening.
We publish the component fees rather than a package price so that the total can be checked line by line. Our per-tooth figures sit mid-range for London, they are identical at all three Medical & Dental clinics, and the plan will state plainly if a smaller set of treatments would meet your brief.
